“There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs.”
How New Zealand College of Business has helped me move forward and find success with his employment in Christchurch. I am so fortunate to have had the experience of studying abroad in New Zealand. I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. I think I picked the farthest place away from home, so you can imagine my nerves. Luckily my time here has exceeded all expectations I had. Kiwis have a very relaxed and welcoming culture, making it very easy to get accustomed to it and to meet the locals. I quickly developed friendly relationships with them, as well as with people from all over the world.

I was astounded by their generosity and kindness and that was what has made my experience so amazing. Having that time away from home also allowed me to grow as an individual. I learned that developing strong relationships with people was one of the most important and rewarding things in life.
At New Zealand College of Business pursuing a Diploma in Business Administration (Level 5 and 6) gave me the opportunity to put myself in the forefront of dealing with strategic business issues. The College’s emphasis on collaboration, its focus on leadership and motivation plus the Business Administration programmes focus on problem solving, using real life scenarios was the perfect grounding for working in any fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
Learning from New Zealand College of Business in a beautiful campus made the whole experience unforgettable. Above all else, for me the friendships I formed with my classmates are priceless and have already paid great dividends. The experience is definitely exceeding my expectations and in my opinion the New Zealand College of Business is not just a step in the right direction but a leap towards your professional goals.
Being a student, we are permitted to work 20 hours a week, which helps us fiscally in our day to day life and being more autonomous. I began looking for a job and fortunately found one within one month of arriving in New Zealand. Everyone wants to search for a superior open door, I began searching for some employment that was associated with my studies and would assist me in gaining useful information. I got my open door at G & E Dental working in Reception and Administration. This gave me a chance to upgrade my correspondence expertise and to comprehend the everyday work of an administration in an office.
I totally love working here. I like the involvement of the Owners, Managers, and Supervisors and beyond. It has helped to motivate me to succeed far more than if I had worked in another company. I appreciate that recognition is given when it’s deserved, and help offered when it is needed. I appreciated that the support system is there from supervisors and colleagues, plus balanced with freedom and autonomy they give us, to be successful. I feel like I have been kept on track with the right amount of supervision but never felt like I had anyone breathing down my neck. It is a very well-rounded organisation that manages to keep my job fulfilled and interesting and a pleasure to be doing every day.
