Entry Criteria
 

New Zealand Certificates in English Language (NZCEL) Academic Level 4

Students -

1. Must be 14 years or over

2. Must meet NZ Immigration requirements

3. Must have a minimum of IELTS 5.0 with no band score lower than 4.5, or an equivalent test. Or Pass the NZCB placement test and a one-on-one interview.

New Zealand Certificates in English Language (NZCEL) Academic Level 5

Students -

1. Must be 16 years or over

2. Must meet NZ Immigration requirements

3. Have achieve an overall band score of 6.0 in IELTS (Academic) or equivalent; or hold a NZCEL (Level 4) (Academic), or a score of 425 in the College English Test (CET-4 or CET-6) of China.

 

Certificate in Business Administration (Level 4)

Students -

1. Must meet NZ Immigration requirements

2. Must have a minimum of IELTS 5.5 with no band score lower than 5.0, or B2 Communicator with a score of 42 in City & Guilds IESOL, or TOFEL pBT 530/ iBT 71, or New Zealand Certificates in English Language (NZCEL) Academic Level 4.

3. Must have at least one of the following:

  • Secondary/ High school qualification
  • NZCA Level 2 (or its equivalent).

 

Diploma in Business Administration (Level 5)

To participate in this qualification students:

  • Must be 18 years or over
  • Must meet NZ Immigration requirements
  • Learners who have English as a second language must have an International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 5.5 with no individual band score lower than 5.0, TOEFL Module-Based Test (pBT) Score of 550 (with an essay score of 5 TWE), TOEFL Internet-Based Test (iBT) Score of 46 or higher (with a writing score of 20), and/or NZCEL Level 4 with academic endorsement or the equivalent.   
  • Must have obtained the NZCB Certificate in Business Administration (Level 4) or its equivalent

Note: Direct entry is available to students who have been exempted from NZCB Diploma in Business Administration but students must still meet requirements of the first three points above.

 

Diploma in Business Administration (Level 6)

To participate in this qualification students:

  • Must be 18 years or over
  • Must meet NZ Immigration requirements
  • Learners who have English as a second language must have an International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 6.0 with no individual band score lower than 5.5, TOEFL Module-Based Test (pBT) Score of 550 (with an essay score of 5 TWE), TOEFL Internet-Based Test (iBT) Score of 60 or higher (with a writing score of 20), and/or NZCEL Level 4 with academic endorsement or the equivalent.   
  • Must have obtained the NZCB Diploma in Business Administration (Level 5) or its equivalent

Note: Direct entry is available to students who have been exempted from NZCB Diploma in Business Administration but students must still meet requirements of the first three points above.

 

Diploma in Business Administration (Level 7)

To participate in this qualification students:

  • Must be 18 years or over and be a registered student
  • Must meet NZ Immigration requirements
  • Learners who have English as a second language must have an International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 6.0 with no individual band score lower than 5.5, TOEFL Module-Based Test (pBT) Score of 550 (with an essay score of 5 TWE), TOEFL Internet-Based Test (iBT) Score of 60 or higher (with a writing score of 20), and/or NZCEL Level 4 with academic endorsement or the equivalent.   
  • Must have obtained the NZCB Diploma in Business Administration (Level 6) or its equivalent

 

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Candidates will be given the opportunity to provide evidence that they have current competency in or meet the requirements of aspects of the program. Evidence may include; references, referees statements, pre-tests, attestations, proof of previous training, portfolio of evidence of learning that links them to outcomes.
